Sue Sharp Ceramics

Slip - decorated ceramics. I make a range of domestic earthenware, tiles and larger more decorative pieces. The pots are coloured with liquid clay (slip) before firing, using a variety of techniques, brushing, trailing, sponging, and spraying parts away with water. I use a white earthenware clay fired to 1145c in an electric kiln. Transparent glaze. Suitable for dishwashers.

Work is available at various galleries, mail-order or visit the studio. Please phone first to get directions.

I also run workshops with schools and community groups, ranging from one day clay modelling sessions to large scale tiled murals.
